Michael Doolin is the Chief Executive Officer of Clover HR, a company he founded in 2017. Since its inception, Clover HR has flourished under Michael’s leadership, turning over £1 million annually and servicing 120 clients every day. With a team of over 35 HR professionals, Clover HR offers comprehensive HR solutions across a range of industries, from unionised environments to fast-paced, non-unionised sectors.
With over 35 years of experience in senior HR roles, Michael has a proven track record of driving organisational growth by aligning people strategies with commercial objectives. His expertise encompasses employee relations, talent management, organisational development, and navigating complex mergers and acquisitions. Michael has also spearheaded national pay negotiations and led award-winning employee engagement and leadership programmes for global businesses.
In addition to his role at Clover HR, Michael is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), where he actively mentors other HR professionals. He is also a Lay Member of the Employment Tribunal and shares his extensive knowledge as a Guest Lecturer at prestigious institutions such as Warwick and Leeds University Business Schools. His leadership extends to his role as a Non-Executive Director for two businesses, where his strategic input continues to make a significant impact.
Outside of his professional achievements, Michael is a proud father to his two daughters, Eleanor and Lydia, a role he cherishes as his most rewarding.
